CareBinder collects the following information that you voluntarily provide: your email address for account creation, family member names, health information (medications, allergies, diagnoses, medical history, immunizations, equipment, provider contacts, appointments, emergency contacts, insurance details), and neurodiversity profile data (sensory preferences, triggers, calming strategies, IEP/504 notes).
Your information is used solely to provide the CareBinder service: storing and organizing your family's health records, generating care summaries, and enabling you to share selected information with caregivers, schools, and healthcare providers. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal or health information with third parties for marketing purposes. We will never monetize your data.
CareBinder is designed for parents and guardians to manage their children's health information. We do not collect information directly from children. All data is entered and controlled by the parent or guardian account holder. Parents have full control over what information is stored and shared, and may delete any data at any time.
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which provides encrypted database storage and secure authentication. All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption. Row-level security policies ensure that only you can access your family's data. We do not store passwords in plain text.
You control what information is shared and with whom through our Share Profiles feature. When you create a share profile and copy a summary, that information is placed on your device's clipboard and is under your control. CareBinder does not automatically share your data with any third party.
You have the right to: access all data stored in your account; correct or update any information; delete individual records or your entire account; export your data; and withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account. CareBinder is a personal health record-keeping tool for parents and is not a covered entity under HIPAA. CareBinder is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The information you store is for your personal record-keeping and sharing purposes.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting a notice within the app. Your continued use of CareBinder after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
